{"source_id":"cove-34283624380436","company":"Cove","kind":"documentation","category":"documentation","title":"Manually Adding A User","url":"https://support.cove.is/hc/en-us/articles/34283624380436-Manually-Adding-A-User","body":"Navigate to the Directory Module in the dashboard, and click on the User sub-page.\n\nClick on +New in the upper right, and from here the user form/profile will appear.\n\nThere are only five fields required to create a user profile:\n\nFirst Name\n\nLast Name\n\nCompany\n\nChoose the user's company from the dropdown. If their company/ organization does not yet exist, click Add Tenant to create a tenant and then assign the user to it.\n\nEmail\n\nPro-tip: This is how user's will login, so double-check that their email is accurate. If it is not, the user will not be able to login.\n\nUser Role\n\nThis is what will determine the user's level of access to the app and/or dashboard.\n\nChoose the user's role in your building from the dropdown.\n\nClick here for more information on User Roles.\n\n4. Ensure the Account Status is set to Active (by default it will be set to Active).\n\nActive users can log into the app or dashboard.\n\nSuspended users cannot log into the app or dashboard.\n\nPro-tip: We recommend suspending a user from the system instead of deleting them so that you have a record of their profile existing.\n\n5.
