{"source_id":"cove-34975943399828","company":"Cove","kind":"documentation","category":"documentation","title":"Vendors","url":"https://support.cove.is/hc/en-us/articles/34975943399828-Vendors","body":"Third-party vendors can be added to your dashboard so that they can be registered as visitors and complete Work Orders via the app or dashboard.\n\nUse Case Example:\nIf work at our building needs to be completed by a third party vendor (ABC Window Cleaning), we want employees from ABC Window Cleaning to be able to access our building, and see and complete the work we've assigned to them. In order to do that we need to take the following actions in the dashboard:\n\nAdd Vendors and Vendor Users:\n\nadd ABC Window Cleaning as a Vendor\n\ncreate an ABC Window Cleaning Work Group so that people in that work can receive notifications\n\nadd ABC Window Cleaning employees as Vendor Uses\n\nAssign and Route Work to Vendors:\n\nassign Work Orders to Vendor Users within ABC Window Cleaning and/or\n\nroute Work Orders to ABC Window Cleaning\n\nRegister the Vendor Visits\n\nRequirements:\n\nVendor Users need to be on at least version 24.19.0 of the app\n\nIf you do not see Vendor Users as an option in your User Roles dropdown, please reach out to techsupport@cove.is\n\n Articles:\n\nAdd Vendors\n\nAdd Vendor Users\n\nAssign and Route Work to Vendors\n\nRegister Vendor Visits (individual or group)\n\nFollow the directions to register a visitor, except:\n\nSelect Vendor from the dropdown\n\nSelect the specific vendor from the dropdown\n\nThe vendor's COI status and expiry date will appear.
