Overnight reservations allow Building Admins, Building Managers, and Tenant Admins to book an amenity that starts on one day and ends after midnight on the next. This creates a single continuous reservation that spans two dates while still following the amenity’s operating hours and reservation rules.\n\nSetting Up an Amenity for Overnight Reservations\n\nHow Overnight Reservations Display\n\nHow to Schedule an Overnight Reservation\n\nRules & Limitations\n\nSetting Up an Amenity for Overnight Reservations\nTo enable overnight reservations, Building Admins must configure each amenity’s hours so that its operating hours extend past midnight.\nTo confirm or update the hours:\n\nNavigate to the Reservations module and click on the Reservation Setup page, then Amenity Setup.\n\nSelect the Category, and then select the individual amenity.\n\nClick the 24 Hrs check box for each day the amenity should be available for overnight reservations.\nFor example, marking Wednesday as 24 Hrs makes the amenity available for the full day (12:00 AM–11:59 PM), allowing a reservation that starts Wednesday at 11:00 PM to extend into Thursday at 1:00 AM.\n\nIn this scenario, a reservation could not start after midnight on Thursday unless Thursday is also set to 24 Hrs.\n\nSave your changes.\n\nIf the amenity is not available during overnight hours, those times will not appear in the picker when users schedule a reservation.\nHow Overnight Reservations Display\nWhen a reservation extends past midnight:\n\nWhen making the reservation, it displays as one continuous reservation.\n\nBoth the start date/time and end date/time appear clearly in the reservation details.\n\nThe reservation shows up as a single entry in the reservation list and calendar.\n\nHow to Schedule an Overnight Reservation\nIf an amenity is available for overnight booking, you can create a reservation that continues into the following day.\n\nSelect the amenity category and amenity space from the drop-down menus while making a reservation.\n\nChoose the start date.\n\nSelect a start time.\n\nSelect an end time—you will see next-day times if the amenity supports overnight use.\n\nReview the reservation summary, which will show the start and end date/time together.\n\nSubmit the reservation.\n\nRules & Limitations\n\nAmenity hours still apply for Tenant Admins.\nTenant Admins can only book overnight if the amenity’s operating hours extend past midnight. For example, if an amenity closes at 11:00 PM, a Tenant Admin cannot create an overnight reservation.\n\nBuilding Admins can book outside amenity hours.\nBuilding Admins are not restricted by amenity operating hours and may create overnight reservations at any time, even if the amenity is not technically “open” during those hours.\n\nStandard reservation rules still apply.\nMaximum reservation length, overlapping rules, and any other site-level policies continue to apply when booking overnight.\n\nOvernight reservations create a single booking.\nEven though the reservation spans two calendar days, it appears as one continuous reservation.","capture_id":"41a9ddf17b436b74325ef2f0e70bff1f49588c4a072905154cd5f3166af55df3","captured_at":"2026-10-12T13:27:54.090Z","published_at":null,"indexed_at":"2026-10-12T13:27:54.127Z","truncated":0,"scope_tier":"primary","monitor_reason":"","last_error":null,"last_attempt_at":"2026-10-12T13:27:53.395Z","enabled":1,"evidence_notes":[],"text_available":true,"media":["https://support.cove.is/hc/article_attachments/43412063582228","https://support.cove.is/hc/article_attachments/43412252295060","https://support.cove.is/hc/article_attachments/43412252295444","https://support.cove.is/hc/article_attachments/43412252295956"],"interpretation":"Unreviewed source evidence.
