It provides a centralized, chronological record that helps property and building teams maintain visibility, accountability, and continuity across shifts. Entries are created manually and are visible to authorized users once the feature is enabled.\n\nActivity Log entries can be used to document a wide range of building activity, including:\n\nFront desk or lobby observations\n\nIncidents or issues that do not require a work order\n\nNotes associated with a tenant, household, or specific location\n\nGeneral building activity that may be useful for future reference\n\nEach entry captures who recorded the activity, when it occurred, and any relevant contextual details.\n\nThe Activity Log supports manual entry creation with date and time, notes, and optional references, and displays entries in a searchable, filterable table. Logged activity can be exported to CSV for reporting or record keeping, and entries can only be edited by the user who created them to help preserve accountability.\n\nUser Roles\n\nBuilding Admins can configure the module\n\nReservation Manager, Security Manager, Building Engineer, Engineering Manager, Building Manager, and Building Admins can add and view Activity Log entries.\n\n👉 Note: If you do not see Activity Log in your building dashboard, please reach out to your Customer Success Manager or email techsupport@cove.is.\n\nAdding and Editing an Activity Log entry\n\nViewing and searching Activity Log entries\n\nExporting the Activity Log\n\nAdding and editing Activity Log entries\n\nNavigate to the Activity Log module and page.\n\nClick New Entry in the upper right corner.\n\nComplete the entry fields:\n\nDate and Time (required)\nDefaults to the current date and time and cannot be set in the future\n\nTenant or Household (optional, based on configuration)\n\nLocation (optional)\n\nNotes (required)\n\nClick Save\n\nAfter saving:\n\nA confirmation message appears\n\nThe entry is added to the top of the Activity Log\n\nYour name is recorded as the author\n\nTo edit an existing entry:\n\nClick the pencil icon next to an entry you created\n\nUpdate any of the available fields and save your changes\n\nOnly the user who created an Activity Log entry can edit it, helping ensure clear ownership and an accurate historical record.\n\nViewing and searching Activity Log entries\n\nThe Activity Log displays entries in a table, sorted by most recent activity first.
