These insights help you confirm your message was actually heard and understand any delivery issues.\nBuilding Admins can view both the overall metrics and user-level details.\n\nViewing Voice Delivery Metrics\n\nHow to Read the Aggregate Metrics\n\nHow Voicemail Is Counted\n\nHow to Read User-Level Details\n\nExample Metrics\n\nWhat’s Considered Normal\n\nTroubleshooting Voice Calls\n\nViewing Voice Delivery Metrics\n\nGo to the Engage module.\n\nSelect Announcements.\n\nOpen the Sent / Scheduled tab.\n\nClick the subject line of a voice announcement that has been sent.\n\nYou will see:\n\nRecipients\n\nVoice Delivery Data\n\nA preview of the message\n\nNote: Select any number opens a filtered list of users. From there, selecting View shows details about that individual user.\n\nHow to Read the Aggregate Metrics\nRecipients\n\nSelected Recipients: Everyone you chose when sending the voice announcement.\n\nUsers Sent To: Users with a phone number on their directory profile that the system attempted to call.\n\nVoice Call Metrics\nEvery call is reported as either Answered or No Answer.\n\nAnswered: The call reached a live person. A call is counted as Answered only when a person picks up and the announcement is played to them.\n\nNo Answer: The call did not reach a live person. This includes calls that:\n\nRang without being picked up\n\nWere picked up by voicemail or an answering machine\n\nWere declined or sent straight to voicemail\n\nFailed / Undelivered: The call could not be placed at all. This can happen if:\n\nThe phone number is invalid or no longer in service\n\nThe carrier blocked the call\n\nThe number cannot receive automated calls\n\nHow Voicemail Is Counted\nIf a call routes to voicemail, it is counted as No Answer. No announcement is left on voicemail, so the user did not receive the message — and the metric reflects that.\nNote: This affects reporting only. It does not change how voice announcements are placed or delivered.\nHow to Read User-Level Details\nEach user row shows:\n\nUser Information: Name, tenant, and general contact details.\n\nVoice Call Status:\n\nAnswered – A live person picked up and the announcement was played.\n\nNo Answer – The call rang out or was picked up by voicemail. No message was left.\n\nFailed / Undelivered – The system attempted the call, but it could not be connected.\n\nNot Sent – The system did not attempt a call to this user, typically because no phone number is on their profile.\n\nExample Metrics\nA property sends a voice announcement to 50 users.\n\n48 users had a phone number on file and were called\n\n12 calls were answered by a live person\n\n34 calls rang out or went to voicemail\n\n2 calls failed\n\nAnswered Rate: 25%\nWhat’s Considered Normal\nAnswered rates for voice announcements are typically lower than delivery rates for email, push, or SMS. Many users do not pick up calls from unknown numbers, and any call that reaches voicemail is reported as No Answer because no message is left.\nFor time-sensitive communication, consider pairing voice with another channel using Multi Channel, so users who miss the call still receive the message by SMS, push, or email.\nTroubleshooting Voice Calls\nLow Answered rate\n\nPossible reasons:\n\nUsers did not pick up and the call went to voicemail\n\nUsers screen or block calls from unknown numbers\n\nThe announcement was sent outside of business hours\n\nWhat you can do:\n\nSend during hours when users are most likely to answer\n\nUse Multi Channel so the message also arrives by SMS, push, or email\n\nLet users know in advance which number your building calls from\n\nA user shows as No Answer but says they never got a call\n\nThe call likely went to voicemail. No announcement is left on voicemail, so there would be nothing for them to find.\n\nConfirm the phone number on their directory profile is current.\n\nHigh Failed / Undelivered count\nWhat you can do:\nAsk users to confirm their phone number is correct in their profile","capture_id":"e165061ac6e54c1b0c4686723a7eb164510828494f79c39d51f0c5c948398baa","captured_at":"2026-10-12T13:28:17.225Z","published_at":null,"indexed_at":"2026-10-12T13:28:17.257Z","truncated":0,"scope_tier":"primary","monitor_reason":"","last_error":null,"last_attempt_at":"2026-10-12T13:28:16.717Z","enabled":1,"evidence_notes":[],"text_available":true,"media":["https://support.cove.is/hc/article_attachments/53601291192468","https://support.cove.is/hc/article_attachments/53601291194004"],"interpretation":"Unreviewed source evidence.
