Confirm \"Setup MobilePass Now\" Was Tapped","url":"https://support.cove.is/hc/en-us/articles/54172652572052-Mobile-Access-Not-Working-Confirm-Setup-MobilePass-Now-Was-Tapped","body":"Quick answer for agents: The most common reason a tenant reports that mobile access \"isn't working\" is that they never tapped Setup MobilePass Now on the Good News! screen shown above. Reaching that screen only means mobile access has been granted on the backend — it does not mean the tenant's phone has been provisioned. Before troubleshooting further, confirm with the tenant that they tapped the button and completed setup.\n\nWhat this screen means\nWhen a tenant's account is granted mobile access, the app shows this \"Good News!\" screen the next time they open it. The message confirms eligibility only — it does not mean mobile access is active yet. The tenant still has to complete MobilePass setup before any door reader will recognize their phone.\n\nHow tenants complete setup\n\nOpen the app.\n\nOn the Good News! screen, tap Setup MobilePass Now.\n\nFollow the prompts to install the mobile credential, allowing Bluetooth and Location permissions when asked. Both are required for the phone to communicate with door readers.\n\nOnce setup finishes, test access at a door before relying on it.\n\nTapping How It Works instead opens an explainer screen only — it does not activate access. Tenants who tap it should be directed back to Setup MobilePass Now afterward.\n\nIf setup was already completed\nIf the tenant confirms they tapped Setup MobilePass Now and access still isn't working, continue troubleshooting:\n\nConfirm Bluetooth and Location Services are turned on for the app in the phone's system settings.\n\nForce close and reopen the app.\n\nMake sure you are on the latest version of the app for mobile access to work\n\nMake sure you are looking at the correct site in your location drop-down if you are associated to multiple-sites\n\nMake sure you have battery optimization off","capture_id":"f32f850a4cfe1cd6d387b62faaa181f2bae5625736e7ff13bf8d554444f79bf7","captured_at":"2026-10-12T13:29:52.560Z","published_at":null,"indexed_at":"2026-10-12T13:29:52.593Z","truncated":0,"scope_tier":"primary","monitor_reason":"","last_error":null,"last_attempt_at":"2026-10-12T13:29:51.830Z","enabled":1,"evidence_notes":[],"text_available":true,"media":["https://support.cove.is/hc/article_attachments/54172652568084"],"interpretation":"Unreviewed source evidence.
