Navigate to **Buildings** using the sidebar under the Property section.\n\n2. Select the relevant building.\n\n3. From the **Equipment** tab, click the green **Create equipment** button at the top right.\n\n2. Enter the equipment **Name** (required).\n\n3. Select the **Type** and **Location** (floor or space).\n\n4. Add any relevant **Notes**.\n\n5. Click **Show advance details** to add additional fields:\n\n   - **Serial Number**\n\n   - **QR Code**\n\n   - **Model**\n\n   - **Manufacturer**\n\n   - **Overall asset condition** — rate the equipment as Good, Fair, Poor, or Unknown\n\n   - **Estimated useful life (Years)**\n\n   - **Installation date**\n\n6. Toggle **Create another** if you want to be returned to the form automatically after saving, to add more equipment.\n\n7. If you enter a type that doesn't already exist, you'll see an option to **add it as a new type**. Once added, it will be available across all properties in your portfolio.\n\n* * *\n\n# Importing Equipment\n\nTo bulk-upload equipment, click the **Import equipment** button at the top right of the Equipment tab. Download the CSV template, fill it in with your equipment data, and re-upload to import all records at once.\n\n* * *\n\n# Editing Equipment\n\nOpen any piece of equipment to access its detail page. From here you can update equipment information in two ways:\n\n**Edit details directly** — the **Equipment Details** panel on the right side of the screen allows you to update fields inline including Location, Type, Notes, Serial Number, QR Code, Model, and more. Simply click any field to edit it.\n\n**Use the actions menu** — click the **⋯** (three dots) button next to the equipment name at the top of the page to access additional options:\n\n- **Rename** — update the equipment name\n\n- **Move to location** — reassign the equipment to a different floor or space\n\n- **Convert to space** — convert this equipment record into a space\n\n- **Delete** — permanently remove the equipment record\n\n![](https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/ymv0iawf/2497590371/c5f7c3d0b6b35cece6574c1e0278/image.png?expires=1791811800&signature=0f33ee2a17ad7b4352821ff29203572f05be78ee24d8f3a3962fb402700278b9&req=diQuEcx3nYJYWPMW1HO4zRg%2BmANw5UKKj9ta7Sj%2F6RHq%2FJpSsdqcxcL32G0M%0AI8B7%0A)\n\n* * *\n\n# Equipment Files\n\nEach equipment record has an **Equipment Files** section where you can attach relevant documents such as warranties, instructions, inspection forms, and maintenance records.
