Whether an inspection was completed on time or missed, the Visitt platform allows you to review data, add critical context, and export reports for your stakeholders.\n\n* * *\n\n# What is a Missed Inspection?\n\nA missed inspection is one that was not updated or completed before the due date, whereas a completed inspection is one that was successfully completed on or before the due date.\n\n* * *\n\n# Accessing Your Closed Inspections\n\nThe Closed Inspections page acts as a central archive for two types of records: **Completed** (finished before the deadline) and **Missed** (not updated or finished by the due date).\n\n1. Navigate to the **Inspections** page through the sidebar menu.\n\n2. Click on the [Closed Inspections](https://app.visitt.io/assignments#visits) tab.\n\n3. Select and click on a specific inspection from the list.\n\n2. Review the information entered by the team member.\n\n3. If the deadline has not yet passed, you may edit the entries as needed. Apply any necessary filters to show the specific inspections you wish to export.\n\n2. Click the **Export** button located at the top-right of the page.\n\n3. Download the file to your computer for your records.\n\n* * *\n\n# Adding Notes for Context\n\nEven after an inspection is closed and the deadline has passed, you can still add notes. This is essential for documenting why a task was missed or noting follow-up actions taken after a completed round.\n\n1. Open the desired closed inspection.\n\n2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.\n\n3. Click the **Add Note** option.\n\n4. Type your remarks and save.\n\n**Who can add notes?** Assigned Team Members, Managers, and Admins.\n\n* * *\n\n# How to Reopen a Closed Inspection\n\nVisitt allows Admins and Managers to reopen missed inspections that were previously closed, making it easier to keep records accurate and operations aligned with what actually happens on the ground.\n\n## Who Can Reopen a Closed Inspection?\n\n- **Admins:** Have access by default.\n\n- **Managers:** Can use this feature only if an Admin grants them the specific permission.\n\n## Supported Inspection Types and Eligibility Rules\n\nInspections can only be reopened under all of the following conditions:\n\n- **Frequency:** Only inspections with a frequency of weekly or higher can be reopened. Daily or hourly inspections cannot be reopened.\n\n- **Timing:** The inspection must have been missed within the last 3 months.\n\n- **Sequence:** You cannot reopen a missed inspection if a newer inspection of the same type has already been completed or missed. For example, if you are in Week 3 and Week 2 has already been completed or missed, you cannot reopen Week 1.\n\n## How to Reopen a Missed Inspection\n\n1. Go to the **Inspections** page in your Visitt dashboard.\n\n2. Click the **Closed Inspections** tab.\n\n3. Look for inspections marked as **Missed**.\n\n4. If the inspection is eligible, you'll see a **Reopen** option directly in the list or inside the inspection.\n\n5. Click **Reopen**.
