Surveys: Creating a Survey

Now that you have planned your survey, it’s time to create it! In this article we will walk you through creating a survey step-by-step.

Navigate to the Engage section of the dashboard, and click on Surveys.

Click +New Survey

Name and describe your survey. Your tenants will see this, so we recommend keeping it clear and concise.

Under What type of survey? select one of the following:

Standard Survey (Default): Survey results are visible to the internal team only.

Community Survey: Survey results can be seen by other users in the app. Users can opt in to share their responses with their name attached.

Under Visibility, configure whether (and when) to show this survey on the app home screen:

Check Add To Home Screen? to make the survey available as a standalone tile on the app home screen, independent of a highlight or push notification.

Note: position on the home screen can be adjusted under Engage &gt; App Home Screen. If this survey is linked from a highlight, work order, or elsewhere, users can still access it that way regardless of this setting.

Click +Add Custom Question and all of the options for your first question will appear. Each question that you add to your survey will include: question prompt, question label, question type, and mark as required.

Question Label: How to identify this question in your response table

Question type: Choose from 10+ question options

Mark as Required: Click here if you want this question to be required for users

To add additional questions click + Add Custom Question and repeat step 4 for each of the custom questions you would like to add to your survey.

Click Save and your finished survey will appear in the survey table.
